In a significant operation yesterday in the East of Burkina Faso, near the Niger border, over a hundred terrorists were neutralized, with many captured alive. This decisive action was executed by the Battalion of Rapid Intervention 24, commonly referred to as “BIR 24.”
Since Capt. Traore took command, he has restructured the military to include the formation of the BIR units, which are made up of highly trained personnel. These elite units are strategically positioned throughout the country to enhance security.
